Goodness gracious,
what is with all of this snow? I can't believe it, I have about a foot and a half of snow where I live. Earlier in the day, I went sledding with my friends, and then we had a make up contest. In five minutes, we had to make a Lady Gaga look. I won. Oh yeah, I know.

Since there's so much snow right now, I think I'll be ironic and talk about spring fashion!
Well, hello gorgeous. There are MJ shoes like this that Lizzi from 13 Going on 47 showed me last year, in ironically enough, spring! They were more jelly like, where as these babies look like a suede-like material, with a sticky plastic-canvas material that only a genius shoe designer would know the name of. The Marc Jacobs were unfortunately, about a gazillion dollars, but these are $38! I think they'd look great with a simple outfit. Plus, not one person at my school will have them. Unless, of course, Marc Jacobs flys to our town to obviously meet his awesome fan Lizzi that has great style. Then, he'll give them to her, and I'll be forced to steal them.

Hey Thakoon Panichgul, you're wonderful. Awesome print top? Check. Colorful trousers? Check. Kick-ass shoewear? SCORE! This is such a great ensemble, I love the pop of the pants against the top. Plus, he obviously designed the shoes with yours truely in mind. Man oh man, me, him, Marcie-poooooo, Karl-dawg, and Lady Gaga would make a FANTASTIC group.

' by the way, that was total sarcasm. Karl is Karl Lagerfeld, not "dawg", and I'm nowhere as close enough to Marc Jacobs to call him that. Maybe one day, though...

You know what I realized?

Take the kids who are obsessed with Abercrombie. (I don't hate Abercrombie, I do hate their logo tees, though.) The ones who wear only clothing from there or clothing that looks like it's from there. Skinny jeans, UGGs, (and the occasional Coach sneaker- gasp!) and a top. They only only ony only only only only only only only only and ONLY shop at Abercrombie, hollister, etc.

Now, take us. The fashion foward, cool kids. We shop all over place. We own a pair of designer flats, and we also own a thrift store sweater. We have GAP shopping bags in our room, but take the time to look at Lanvin's newest spring collection. Our outfits change on a daily basis, and we mix it up. From bright tights to distressed denim, we go with the flow and wear different things. We have a extreme love for fashion, yet we are able to shop at different stores. The Abercrombie zombies only shop at around 4 or 5 stores, and no where else. They can't risk wearing anything from Forever 21. We can, though. I could name at least 10 stores I like to shop at.

I just thought that was interesting. About how we love fashion, we worship it and obsess (yeaah!) over it. Yet it's the people who constrict to a basic uniform every day who are the supposedly "picky" choosers, who shop at certain stores. I'm not going to lie, I used to love Abercrombie. Gosh, I feel so stupid. Especially with some of it's expensive prices, I feel so bad for my parents that I said abercrombie was my favorite store to shop at. I didn't demand to shop there though, thank goodness, I shopped at Old Navy too. But now that I'm a biitttt more older and wiser, I'm so thankful I can shop at a variety of stores.

Plus, fashion should make you stand out. You should have confidence to rock your crazy outfit, despite your best friends who are in love with Abercrombie mocking you. Last year some of my friends constantly talked about my "weird" outfits. (Hey... even if you say it's weird, at least it's not BORING AND THE SAME AS EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON IN OUR SCHOOL! OHHH SNAP.)

So yeah.

Marc Jacobs always has very interesting advertisements. When I flip through my Teen Vogue magazines and see one of these babies, I must stare at it for a straight 5 minutes or so. Stalkerish? Of course not. Jealousy? Ohhhhhhh yes. Here are a couple of my favorites!

How unbelievably perfect are these shorts?
Very, I tell you. AND PERFECT FOR THE MONTHS COMING UP, COUGH COUGH SPRING. (no, pshhh, this is soo not a hint to hurry up and come already!) I'm so sick of this dreadful winter weather and all this silly white stuff they call snow. It falls, it looks pretty, then it melts away and DIES. I'm sure I'll live somewhere warm in the future.

I'm already thinking about what to wear for spring and summer. I want pretty, colorful pieces, that epitomize a flowery feeling. I'm also looking foward to wearing my new floral Urban Outfitters dress without tights! This also goes with my many Forever 21 skirts that look so much better with bare legs.

Some things I would like to purchase would be a lightweight cardigan, and definitely a romper. A cute romper, to wear with a short sleeve cardigan to school. Oh, and a crazy pair of nice flats to dress up my very casual outfits. I hate looking like everyone else at school. (By the way, it's less abercrombie logos now, but still buzzing around. More like plain Abercrombie stuff or floral Abercrombie. Either way, it doesn't matter.) I would wear those shorts tucked into a tank top, with some gold necklaces, a pair of sandals, and a ruffly cardigan from J.Crew. Oh spring, how I love you soooo.

How perfect is this romper? I love it, and Lauren Conrad does too. It's more perfect by the fact that it's on sale for $30 at Urban Outfitters, and they even have it in my size, XS. So tempted..

I'm very tempted to steal these Balenciaga shoes from Barneys and save them for spring. They're perfect in every way. Well, besides the fact that I would look a bit ridiculous wearing to my my school filled with uniforms of Abercrombie. (Oh, drat! I've mentioned Abercrombie 3 times in this post- wait, make that number 4!)

Happy new year & happy holidays !

I hope you all had a very lovely holiday and a great new years. I had a good time this year with my friends and family, and Christmas was good as well.

What are your resolutions? Mine are...
1. Stop procrastinating. (sure, francesca. good luck with this one.)
2. Mix up my outfits more. (actually possible!)
3. Be a little more different and try out trends. (yaayyyy)
4. Keep a semi decent journal. (making a work document with a password. writing is strenous.)
5. Stop procrastinating. (again, not going to happen.)

Overall, 2009 was a good year. I met tons of new people, really developed my style more, and enjoyed birthday parties, presents, and other people's parties. Plus, got all your wonderful comments. (Pstttt! They're free! Comment now! They're cheaper and almost as fun as buying a pair of riding boots... kind of. Not really. But please do comment!)

How great does Tavi look here? Her outfits are so inspiring and insanely interesting to see. I love her, and I wish we could be besties. She's so funny and smart! Check out her blog, style rookie, or else I'll eat you. No, really.

I love these. What's not to love about these? They're J Brand, easy to match with, and are only $43 dollars at net-a-porter. I would have totally bought them with some of my Christmas present money, but nooooooooo. With just my luck, they only have them in a size 31. Oh, the joy of being a thirteen year old fashionista. (Which reminds me... you know the clique? That book series? How the heck do all those girls fit into Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, and YSL?)

Otherwise, though, have a great night, morning, day, season, month, fortnight, year, and more! Be daring, be chic, have fun, fall in love, steal Lady Gaga's pants, dance in a street, sing, and live your life. I can't wait to start 2010 on a good note.

today during French class we were learning about the Chrismas activities the lovely French do. We watched this video of some icky tourist person around Paris, talking about the stuff they have. There were moments where he was talking about the French like small boutiques rather than the big obnoxious department stores like Lord & Taylor, with evil saleswomen who peer pressure you into buying that DKNY skirt. There was a moment of a group of VERYY chicly dressed women peering into an Hermes shop window. I found the picture online!

That was the store, but obviously, that is only one woman and she just has a black coat on. Durrrrr.

Me and my very chic and awesometastic french teacher started gushing over it, and talking about the cute miny Birkin bags and the pretty scarf we really needed. Man, I love her. She's so fun and nice to talk to!

But yeaaaaaaaahhh.

pre fall fashions - hit & miss list

yay. I really like pre-fall fashions, mainly because it's extremely interesting to see what designers have in store for us this fall. Plus, it's great from the usual -spring clothes- in the brisk cold fall type of thing, which in this case, is actually clothes in weather where you would NEED warm clothes. make any sense?

LOVELOVELOVE-Jason Wu / He's one of my favorite designers. This is the first time he's worked with leather, so all the pieces should be pretty much a piece of living inspiration. And this particular dress is my favorite. It's very girlish, with the short hemmed dress, but just take a look at the gunmetal-ness of it all! I want this dress so bad, you don't even know...

Rag & Bone / another favorite designer brand of mine. I like their more colorful pieces, like the blue-ish dress a model wore at the Met Ball a while back, but this piece is pretty cool, you have to say. Their whole collection is all tight pants, basic top, but it was based on their consumers. Being veryyyy ready-to-wear and useful was a key in their collection.

Caroline Herrera / Finally, some color! Herrera herself said that she wanted it light, airy, fun, and more, with inspiration from the TWENTIES. that's right, the TWENTIES! [I just watched Singin' In the Rain, best. costuming. EVER.] I love this so much, veryveryvery chic.

MHMMMM-Narcisco Rodriguez / This outfit is boring, I don't like a lot. A lot of his other stuff was kinda boring, blah, put perfect for wrinkly librarians. I also don't think the shape of this outfit really suits anybody.

Zero + Maria Cornejo / Let's get straight to the point- honestly, who is going to wear it? I do give major kudos to it for being unique, but I personally think it's just working here. Not many celebrities or just consumers, really, want to wear a baggy dress.

although somethings, like blemish concealer could be quite offending, most make up items work. a surefire hit is a lip gloss, the universal make up gift. you can get a nice high end one, like Dior, or choose a drugstore version and buy either more or something else. Other things that are great to buy for make up- eyeshadow pallettes, especially the Coastal Scents 88 Color palette, or blushes. I'm especially fond of blushes, because they give your face a fresh burst of color.

On the other hand, how cute is this Coach planner?

I can't tell you how much I would love it if I got some scarves for Christmas. Even if they aren't the silky Hermes type, who cares?! It's cold as heck outside, and right now warmth beats fashion by a longgggg way. Unless someone actually buys me one... But anyways, scarves are great because anyone can wear them in million of ways, and they are actually useful. Plus, no worrying about sizes! I like Forever 21 scarves a lot, for they are cheap AND chic. brava!The perfect scarf. Warm cute cheap chic adorable AND all of the above.

some misscaleaneous ideas ;
= slippers and Godiva hot chocolate equals cozy and warm.
= don't get a spa at home kit thing- tacky and really should be the individuals choice.

Even if I may be using a chain store, found-at-Urban Outfitters Deux Lux bag doesn't mean that I can't have an appreciation for high end designers bags. Just think of how classic, timeless, and chic they'll be! Buying sequined tank tops are trendy, but a Chanel 2.55? As you can see, some things just never go out of style. By the way, kindess is ALWAYS in style. *cough*MEANGIRLSATMYSCHOOL*cough**cough*

Here is a are two my favorites that I would DIE to own.

Ta-da, the ever so classic and French Chanel 2.55.
First made in the 1920's, this bag was made after mademoisselle Coco Chanel herself began tired of using clutches that would only make her arms busier. Thus, the created this bad, which debut on the market in 1929. In 1955, she updated it, and the house of Chanel re-debut it in 2005. Now, many stars in Hollywood are seen with this enviable bag, from LC to Nicole Richie.

bam ! I bring to you the fashionable Louis Vuitton Speedy 35.
It's a bit different from the other LV bags, seeing as it isn't plastered with LV all over it, with the signature shade of brown as well. It's a bit more modern, and super easy to work with. Just toss it in your bag and baby, you can go, go, gooooo.

if you were to take a walk around our school, you would probably die.
just kidding. but you might not like many things people are wearing. At our school, most girls are into the abercrombie or hollister look. You know, wearing a "cute" abercrombie shirt with a pair of darkswash skinnies and a pair of uggs. and OMGZZZZZZ ! like, is that a juicy jacket? ohmygoshhhhhh i loooovelovelovelovee it haha tee hee!

fine. maybe I'm going overboard. But I think you get the point.

Even when I have friends that are aber-obsessed, I'm happy to say at least some of them have a teeensy bit of originality and wear some other things from the stores, like a scarf, or a knit sweater. And don't get me wrong, abercrombie jeans are pretty good quality, and I own a super soft grey slouchy shirt from the store that I really love. But sadly, there are still some people who have no originality whatsoever and only wear a uniform of a logo tee, jeans, and uggs every single day.

*gags* no thank you. i don't really feel like advertising for you...

but hey! this doesn't mean there aren't any fashionistas at our school!

Take Lizzi. She's one of my good friends who shops at Urban Outfitters, H&M, American Apparel, and some designer stores frequently. Loooooveee it. She has a great style- although I'm not one hundred percent sure if I can take the liberty of defining it, but I'd say it's L.A. chic with a bit of indie thrown in.

I am such a huge Lady Gaga fan. Many think she's crazy, bizzarre, and a freak, but I beg to differ. Not since Michael Jackson have we met someone with the guts to have an incredible style, great music, and at the same time, not give a crap about what others think of her. Obsessed? Of course!

And guess what? I'm being her for Halloween. I ordered a hairbow online, which I am absolutely praying to god that it comes at the most, before Halloween, but hopefully before two parties that are in a week for one, and the day before Halloween, for another. Ahhhhhhh!!

One itsy bitsy problem though. I have no idea what to wear.
It has to be pretty cheap, because my hair bow was thirty dollars itself. (By the way, it was from England, and international shipping is SUPPOOSEDDD to take a week to twelve days!!!) If you can come up with a fab outfit idea, I will love you. Foreverandeverandeverrrrr.

sequins, sequins are so fun, when they're made for everyone.

In case you haven't heard, sequins are making a comeback. And before I continue, I just want to tell you that I swear on Chanel Iman, Vogue, and well. Sequins, that I never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever lie. EVER. Got it? Good.

To continue... well, I'm pretty much in love with sequins. But I've been in love with them for such a long time. Since the start of summer when maybe just ONE designer, I'm not sure who, had like. A shirt completely adorned with sequins. It was amour at first sight.

And now, since fall is seriously here, as in IN-YOUR-FACE here, designers are whipping out trends quicker than you can even utter to yourself "j'adore". And a trend that is evolving? SEQUINS. sequins, sequins, sequins, sequins! all in there magnicifent glory.

But like anything worthwhile, too much is not good. You don't want to end up look this, non?

Sequins are definitely a lot more appropriate for night time, and parties and what-not, but it's super easy to incorporate these beautiful designs into a daytime ensemble, for school.

Balmain always does the most superb/fantastic/insane/epic work with sequins for fall.
This isn't the best picture of what they've made, but a good example. I'm particularily in love with the third outfit. The white tee really balances the glamour from the sequined bandage skirt.

To work sequins into a more modest outfit for school, maybe work, is still quite simple.
I'd suggest instead of being more head-on like wearing the tight tunics Balmain has to offer, but more of... accessories!

*jazz hands here*

Take this for instance.

A beautifully made Coach Poppy bag. It would work for a school bag, and instantly gives your outfit a couple of extra points. In the case if you ever choose to go mime, and wear all black, people will still OOOH and AHHHHH over your outfit with this beauty.
Yay for sequined shoe wear DKNY has these for 98 dollars at net-a-porter right now. Not only will they match with absolutely anything in your wardrobe, but who doesn't love DKNY? Plus, they're less expensive then some other tackier shoe pieces from Coach.

The playfullness works wonders for an otherwise super sophisticated fashion house, but every single outfit is tied together and just.. CHIC. Must I say anymore?

I am sorry I haven't blogged since September 8th! School has officially started, and I was super busy. I also wasn't feeling very inspired, but now I think I am back to blog. It feels good to be writing again. And now, some updates..

1. I have a lovely school bag, which I bought from Deux Lux. They sell mostly to Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, but also have their own website which had an amazing sale.
2. Started gymnastics! I love it.
3. Made tons of new friends.
4. I'm getting braces on the twelth, though.

summer is out, school is in.

Can you believe it?
For many people, it feels like just yesterday we had gotten out of class. But sadly, that is not the case here. In fact, we just had a about 2 1/2 months of summer break. Away from the stressful school days, cramming for the unnecessary tests, overflowing drama, and stinky gym locker rooms. I hope all of you readers had a very enjoyable summer!

But school isn't a one-hundred percent bad thing. Everyone has been busy like a bee, going shopping for things! A school bag, some shiny lip gloss, and a hot dress for homecoming. (If you're in high school, that is.)

But just in case you aren't Chanel Iman, and you do have the occasional slip-up, just keep on reading for ways to tackle tricky situations, mostly at school.

Issue: What the heck am I wearing on the first day of school?!
Answer: Don't worry. If you haven't started yet, keep it comfy, cool, and sweet. Try a tank top tucked into a nice pair of shorts, with a light cardigan. Or, a pair of denim destroyed shorts with a J. Crew top. It's all about you this time!

Issue: UHHH. Make up help, please?
Answer: Just keep it simple. I can't stress how skanky and bad it looks when yo ucake on the eyeliner, like all the girls at my school do. Why not something nicer? A neutral eyeshadow, with some mascara, blush, and lip gloss will do. No need to take out the false eyelashes, non?

Issue: I have a party/dance/FNO. What to wear?
Answer: For the dressier ones, wear a glam dress. Forever 21 cocktail dresses are great for this. Add a cardigan if needed, and a pair of flats to dance the night away. Or socialize, for that matter! If you're going to a less formal ocacasion, try a pair of cropped jeans that are below the knee, but not full length. It does get awfully hot at these places. A simple tee works. Dress it up with some bangles. I wouldn't recommend necklaces, though, because they can get tres annoying when dancing.

Issue: I. Spilled. Sauce. On. My. Shirt.
Answer: For the year, try keeping a spare shirt in your locker. Make it something basic, like a plain pink tee. You could also use a hoodie for the longer months, although I'm not a huge fan of the look of them. Work the minimalist look, girl.

Issue: I have 3 tests, tomorrow, a quiz today, and a huge essay to finish. Help!
Answer: Work a little bit of each thing. Write a paragraph, study five pages from your text book, and then answer some prep questions. When you feel like you can't do any more, go drink something warm and calming. Then, get started again.

Issue: I'm just not happy with my... social life.
Answer: Think of Blair Waldorf. Not only is she one of the most popular girls in the entire city, she has outstanding grades and is involved in many extra-curricular activities that will benefit her in the long run. Grades are important, but it's also important to have friends. If you're not the most popular girl in school, it doesn't matter. As long as you're happy with your friends, life is good. If you want to make friends, just be nice to everyone! Giving a compliment also doesn't hurt, and help them when they need it. Just please don't be a suck-up. No one likes a suck-up.

Marsey, a Vogue Intern

Let me introduce Marsey.
She's a fabulous 18 year old currently residing on the Upper East Side.
She interns for Vogue, and will be attending Parsons School of Design in the fall. (Keep in mind.. alumni include Marc Jacobs, Sophia Buahi, Lisa Mayock, Derek Lam, Narciso Rodriguez, and many more...) But really. Working in the same office as the people who make and create Vogue every month (ANNA!) is quite amazing. Lets give it up for Marsey!

F- Hey Marsey! Thanks for the interview. Now, I wonder, has fashion always been a dream of yours?
M- Fashion has definitely always been my dream. My mom worked in the industry and I grew up around it... so it's only natural that I would get drawn in by the industry. I remember drawing up crazy sketches when I was little and going through my mom's closet, putting myself in gowns that were way to big for me lol. I knew at a very young age that fashion was what I wanted... and I was determined to get it.
F- I can relate. How did you apply for your Vogue internship?
M- I sent in my resume and was really excited when I got my interview. I guess I impressed the interviewer and later, I got a call telling me that I got the job.
F- Fab! Now tell us, what does a typical day look like for you?
M- A typical day? It's really tiring lol. In the morning, I do the coffee runs... then throughout the day, I organize the Vogue closet, pack samples for photo shoots, and steam A LOT of clothes lol.
F- Many girls would still die for anything Vogue! Hehe. What about Anna Wintour. Have you met her?
M- I have met Anna but I've never had a heart to heart conversation with her. When you're working in an atmosphere like Vogue, everyone's always busy and always running all over the place. I've never had the opportunity to really talk to her... but I hope one day I will.
F- So do we. What about the movie coming out soon?
M- I personally can't wait for the movie... I think it's a great reflection of how the magazine industry really works.
F- Neither can I. Back to you, what are your future dreams?
M- You know, I don't know my future dreams yet. I've never been the type of person who planned out her entire future... I guess I'll see where destiny takes me. Hopefully, I'll stay in the fashion industry and actually get a paying job that I love. We'll see...
F- Hopefully at Vogue? (; What are some of your favorite trends or items for fall?
M- I love this question haha. I'm a big fan of ankle boots right now... I think they would come in handy in the fall. Also leather jacket... I love leather jackets, especially paired with a feminine dress. I just love to roughness aspect it offers.
F- Agreed! I adore the juxtaposition theme. Can you describe your style to us, and favorite designers?
M- My style... that's a hard one. I have a uptown style but mixed with a downtown vibe. I love wearing vintage and adding some modern pieces to it. I just love to mix and match... i would say that I have a feminine style but it's rough around the edges. My favorite designers are Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, YSL, and Rag and Bone .
F- Sounds tres chic! Now, do you have advice for young fashionistas?
M- I don't know if my advice will help lol but i think it's really important to have fun with fashion. I think when you love it and when you enjoy it, it will show. So instead of worrying about going into the industry and finding a job that involves fashion, just have fun with it. When you have fun with it, the opportunities will naturally come. Hope these answers are good :)

Back to school so soon, darling?

Yes, as we all have been worrying about as our french manicures dried, school is coming back soon. For some of you unlucky people, you've already started- but for many others, school starts in about a week or two. Here's a checklist so you don't come running into school as the "new kid". (Even when you've been attending this place for years!)

1. Back to school shopping! Ahh, one of my favorite things to do. Make a long list, than go online, to your local mall, a major city, or the outlets, and do some good 'ol retail therapy. Buy basics, like jeans, v-necks, and tank tops, but also think about fall's trends. Teen Vogue, anybody?

"ohmygawd. what do you think?" (;
2. Develop good habits. Hey, party people- when school starts, you can be dancing until 3 am anymore! Start going to sleep early.
Drink something warm, and snuggle with your favorite magazine or book. No need for under eye circles, non?

yay for cucumbers.
3. Find the perfect bag! Even I'm still looking for one. Urban Outfitters has many options,
and various website do, too. I also like to check out my local Marshall's or T.J. Maxx.

you know you love it.
4. Get a back to school glow! Use peaches. Cut. Rub over your face. Let it soak in your pores while
you contemplate on what to wear on your first day of school. Plus, a little bronzer and highlighter wouldn't hurt.

We love peaches, yes we do, we love peaches how about you?
And that's pretty much all you need for a fab start.

Shoes, shoes, the magical fruit, the more you buy, the more you're.. happy?

If you're on of those people who can always find the most perfect shoes, with the special little deals, and the special little details, at the best stores, well... gahh! Luck duck. You see, I think I have the most troubled feet and luck in the world. I rarely find shoes that fit well. I am about a size 6, but my feet wide. I know, I know, Nordstrom has that shoe size service, but I've never bought shoes online. I'm too worried.

So right now, I'm dreaming about some FAB fall boots that might actually fit me!

Tory Burch Reva leopard-print flats, $225 at N et-A-Porter.
Fabulous designed. I have had my eye on these since forever, in this glam print and a basic gold. The shoes are pretty versatile, and can be worn with many things during this fall. A good investment? I hope!

Chloé flat leather boots, $900 at Net-A-Porter.
I really love the riding boots style. They look so chic, so sophisticated, so mature. Plus, really fab! I can rock them with jeans. Consider them the UGGs of fall.

Fall trends.

With fall comes change. The leaves become different shades, everyone moves up a grade, and it's a time where you can reinvent yourself just before school starts again. Plus, designers whip out new fabulous looks, witch turn into the hottest new trends.

This fall, the look can be described as rocker-chic, bold, and sophisticated.

Fall's big trends are-
exposed zippers *
tees *
motorcycle style *
lace
80's
distressed jeans
boots *
statement scarf *
denim shirts
bangles
and gold. *
(My favorites have a star next to them.)

These are an awful lot of trends to follow, so don't feel you have to be a slave to the runways. All you have to do is pick a couple you love and be done for fall!

Examples of my favorite trends-

Preen Line stretched cotton zipped skirt, $475
In the front, a display of zippers. On the back, 2 long zippers going around.
This would look great with a basic top, or simple tee (another fall trend!). In the winter, wear it with a longsleeve, tights, and heels or flats. It can be dressed up or down

Lanvin beaded cotton top, $500
Tees are easily dressed up or down. Wear it with skinnies for school, or take it out of town with a chic little black blazer. Forever 21 has so many that it shouldn't be a problem to find a couple for cheap.

Miu Miu leather biker jacket, $2,375
Quite expensive, but is fab. You can find cheaper versions at Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.
Girl it up with a floral dress, like Demi Lovato.

Forever 21 Gambia Slouchy Boots, $26.80
Hey, for this price, and from the review I've heard, they are pretty decent quality and are fab! I went a few days ago with a friend to go Forever 21 shopping, and I tried on these booties. Worried about the quality, I hesitated and promised myself to come back. Now, I'm obsessed with them! They will match with everything, and are casual and chic.

Diane von Furstenburg 'Arcadia' Diamond Silk Scarf
Statement scarves easily make your outfit. Marc Jacobs was famous for his neon ones on the fall runways, which were bright and patterned. This scarf, by DVF, can easily be added to a simple dress to give it a chic air.

As for gold accessories, the list goes on and on, I won't even show an example. Most of you readers do have some form of a gold accessory, whether it be a delicated heirloom necklace or a pack of bangles you picked up from Target. Either why, it's so easy to incorporate this trend into your closet!

On Polyvore.com, a great site for fashion addicts, you make "sets". Here is an example of one of my newest ones, featuring Chanel & Karl Lagerfeld.

You can do a bunch of things on Polyvore. Other members can comment on your sets, like "I love the shoes!" They can even favorite it, and once a set gets a lot of favorites, it goes on the Popular List. Plus, a new feature the website has just added it trends. The creator of the set can write a few things they are trends or will be trends, and other users can vote on it. Another popular feature is Groups. These are groups of users who are in a specific group; it could be just for sets with Louboutins, sets about Gossip Girl, and more. Back! From! Vietnam!

Well, I actually got back 6 days ago. Excuse my laziness!

Vietnam was great. I stayed in Hanoi, a less modern but still gorgeous version of NYC. My grandparents (maternal & fraternal) own houses there, 10 minutes apart. There's quite a lot to do- you can go shopping, watch movies, visit 5 Star hotel pools, go to the lakes, and more.

And yes, I did go shopping! Only a little, though. My best find was a cream Zara cardigan for approximately 12 dollars. I have yet to find a picture, but when I do, I will show you. It's perfect for wearing and matching over pretty much everything! Other great finds from Vietnam were jade bracelets, a pearl necklace, and about a million hair accessories.

If you ever go to Vietnam on vacation, I would be happy to tell you some tips and things to remember. But a basic summary...

* Try to go the the middle of the country, like Hue, Lanko, and Hoi An. For 11 days, my family traveled there for the amazing beaches. In Hoi An, we stayed at a 4 star resort that was amazing. Breakfast buffet in the morning, the beds are large, and every room has a gerat view. Plus, a award-winning spa, two fancy-schmancy pools, and a private beach! All for the price of 50 dollars a night. In New Jersey, that can get you a cheap motel.

* Learn how to walk by raging motor cycles, and call over taxis with ease.

* Be prepared to walk A LOT.

* Don't even think about wearing anymore than 2 layers of shirts.. unless you want to be hotter than the sun.

The September Issue.

Anybody who reads Vogue, or even Teen Vogue knows that September is when possibly the best magazines come out for the whole year. Vogue is known for making a hee-ugee issue every September, chockful of beautiful advertisements, many editorials, special interviews, and everything you could dream of. September is like the holiday season for magazines.

This documentary, which comes out on September 11th, is all about Anna Wintour, and her being one of the most powerful women in the fashion industry. As the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna "decides what's in", pulls of sunglasses indoors with ease, and is besties with major designers like Karl, Jean Paul, and Oscar. She is just so fabulous!

I can't wait for it to come out. I will definitely be in theaters first to watch this!

YSL; Resort 2010

The Resort Colections for 2010 are simply fabulous. Everything is classic, fresh, and just so darn gorgeous.
Of course, the usual favorites include Chanel, Marc Jacobs, etc. But this year?/ My personal favorite is most definitely Yves Sait Laurent.

The brand Yves Saint Laurent has been through a lot in the past years. After shutting down in 2002, it survived from it's parent company Prada. It is no longer a fashion house, but still a wordl-reknowned brand for it's modern elagance and dazzling pieces.

Some of my favorite outits from Resort 2O1O Yves Saint Laurent;

I love the dress, nice for night time. The shoes and belt are also just divine!

The detail on that dress is so divine! With a nod to the 30's, it also has a hint of modern day fashion from the accessories.

I love how the collection has a range of outfits. From casual day wear, to night time wear that oozes confidence, this collection is the best. This number is nice for day outside, at a luncheon or picnic.

Genius! Super classy and super chic, perfect for the office in summer.

My oh my, how can my heart possibly handle that trench coat? Mixed with the chic leggings, ankle booties, and large bag, this is surely great for the rain. Although I do think I'd freak about getting a Yves Saint Laurent trench coat wet.

Emma Watson is so gorgeous. She is currently gracing the cover of Yo Dona, a spanish magazine. By the way, who else is pumped for Harry Potter 6; the Half-Blood Prince? I am! Unfortunately, I'll be in Vietnam when it premieres, so hopefully I can watch it online or something. Man, I've always loved the books and movies to death; I read the 7th book in a couple of hours!

And also, I am loving her Burberry ads. This is a little late, but I felt the need to mention it because she is such a gorgeous girl, and perfect for their haute couture.

Yay! Today I went to one of the best of the best; New York City!

First, I stopped to do some good 'ol outlet shopping at Tanger Outlets. They had a hee-uge stores, with pretty great prices. My absolutely favorite? J. Crew! Their J. Crew had dirt cheap prices, with 7 dollars scoop-neck tees, 5.00 hair accessories, 20 dollar pencil skirts, and so much more. Unfortunately, I didn't get anything because of the time, but I did plan to recreate a future outfit.

I think we all become inspired to buy a super-classy wardrobe, dye (or keep!) our hair a luxurious shade of brown, and become slimmer than slim.

Some things I did buy though...
* A blue madras skirt from Tommy Hillfiger Kids
* A Juicy Couture "I Heart Juicy" Tee
* Purple AE Floral Tank Top
* Burnt orange Aeropostale polo
* Baby pink Aerie jacket

I know, it's not lot compared to the lovely couture we all dream of, but I'm only 12; I still have time for my Diane von Furstenbug, 3.1. Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, and Marc Jacobs.

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while, I was pretty busy with school and other things. Oh, and as I'm writing this, I'm kind of sick. But I'll be back to school tomorrow. By the way, this is pretty random, but I am in complete love with school supply shopping! Call me weird, but I just love the feeling of it, for some reason. It's one of highlights of my summer, and I just adore it. Sorry, had to get that out!

And special news; [well, at least for me!]

I got gladiators!

So maybe they're not my absolute perfect dream ones, but they were only 2O bucks so I'm content with them. They are pretty comfortable, and I got lots of compliments. They're from Old Navy; I discovered that Old Navy has a pretty darn FABULOUS shoe selection!

Wowza ! Since summer is all about colors, carefree times, and fun, these lips will match many different occasions. Even if it's just a quick trip to Coffee Bean, or whether you're invited to a fabulous soiree, this is something you can be wearing all summer.

For the other people who want to try out this trend, but aren't ready for the full punch hot pink, try this lipstick, but in a more delicate color like "Berry Mauve Shimmer"

A plain clear gloss that is not only versatile, but also great for moisturizing.

absolute madness.

I've been is such a blogging mood lately !

Old Navy celebrated Memorial Day Weekend along with the rest of us by having a nice sale.. All solid-colored flip flops were only $1 ! What a nice deal, especially with summer coming along. (The inner economic geek in me is saying; "only $1?! That means they only cost about 25 cents to freaking make ! Bahhh!". My dad laughed at this...)

I came a little to late. Of course, by the time I was there, they only had poo-colored flip flops. Poop. Or if they had actually decent flip flops, they were a million sizes too small or big. A nice lady did give me her light pink flip flops though ! How thoughtful of her. They are a tiny bit too big, but I'll grow into them. Did I also mention the lines? Why, the lines went to the back of the store. My smart and patient father waited in line (without anything in his arms, as to the amazement of the other flip flop hoarding customers) while my sister and I looked for flip flops. It was terribly hot, stuffy, and loud as well. I heard in other towns, some people camped out the night before. (For freaking Old Navy flip flops? I'd rather wait for the sale to went and by them for 3.50!!!)

I still need to find the perfect gladiator sandals.
I was going to get some for this Roman Oral Essay Project we have in school this week, but I guess I'll just have to keep praying a nice, stylish, chic, comfortable, and not-too-expensive pair will come my way. HELP?!?!?!

i'm making you a thief. a fashionable one.

Of course, we all know that Lauren Conrad is probably one of the chic-est dressers in all of Los Angeles. I think her style is usually trendy-boho, with a hint of classiness. She is usually seen with her signature little braid, big sunglasses, and a nice big Chanel bag in black. Man, there isn't one girl who doesn't want to be like her!

She even has her own clothing line, appropriately called "Lauren Conrad". Now, I love the trendy and super-cute items that are from the line, but I must say (and I speak for many fashionistas out there!!) that her line is pretty darn over-priced. For some things, like a basic black cami, can run up to 89.99. That's a whole lot, when you can get the same thing for 2.50 at Forever 21. (Yes! Right now, all plain spaghetti strap camis are only 2.50, and they come in a whole line of scrumptious colors. Eat them up while you can !) The good news, though, is that she is releasing a line for Kohl's in October. Lets keep our french-manicured fingers crossed that it'll actually have nice items, contrary to Alexander McQueen for Target. (Sorry, but that wasn't the best, Mr. McQueen!)

Here is one of my favorite oufit of hers. You can get the same look for much less.

Yay for the high-waisted skirt!

First, you start with your basic top. Like Lauren's, this has a lower neckline than most tops, which adds a little extra hautee. ( Fab Fitted V-Neck Tee, 4.50 at Forever 21) And since we don't need to steal the absolute exact shirt, you can change up the color a bit; this shirt is also offered in purple, yellow, coral, and many more.

And what would the outfit be without the little classy but haute black ruffle skirt ? This number, from Topshop, is a bit shorter than her skirt, which might be pretty hard to find. I'm not sure of the price, but because this is from Topshop, it probably isn't a lot you'll have to splurge on. I personally love Lauren's skirt piece the best, out of her whole outfit. I would be pretty hard to find a better match for this outfit.

Look, it's a pair of Mary Jane patent black heels ! Lauren's heels aren't platform, like the one I'm showing you, but there aren't that many choices for this specific style of shoe. I found this baby at nowdiscountshoes.com , for 24.99. I'm sure you can find them at other places, maybe Forever 21?

Lauren can always be seen wearing a fabulous pair of sunglasses; whether it's a pair of sleek aviators, or funky circle shaped a la Olsens, you can always count on her for the newest trend in shades. She is wearing angled, deep brown sunglasses, but you can change it to any style you want. I like Wayfarers, and I can also pull off round Olsen-esque sunglasses, because they look the best on my oval face. My best tip is to go in stores like Forever 21, because they have a wide selection and try on the different types and styles to see which one suits your face.

Lastly, LC is wearing some simple and sweet accessories. She has on a delicate gold chain necklace, a metallic bracelet, and a black bag. You can definitely update your outfit with some things that are more you; maybe you want a hee-ugee black hobo, or a tiny black clutch. Maybe you'll pass the delicate girly chain, and opt for a wooden beaded necklace. Whatever you do, just keep it you.

The Casual High Waisted Skirt; an introduction.

What is the casual high-waisted skirt? No, it's not the black pencil skirt that women in business wear... it's the new summertime favorite of mine! I'm loving it right now. I recently purchased a yellow and cream casual high waisted skirt from Forever 21.

This is my skirt. It looks a little odd in the photo, but on a person with my figure, (slightley bigger than normal hips, long legs) it looks pretty darn adorable. I got many compliment today when I wore it with a plain white tee and a crystal heart pendant on a black leather string. The skirt is so easy to pair with a everyday outfit; just reach for a plain tee, & fabulous sandals or flats. Then, finish with chic hair, like a poof, or a bun, & add some fun accessories. See how easy that was? You'll still get a fun and comfortable outfit to be in all day.

This skirt is also really nice. I just might go out and buy it. And at about $15.OO dollars, it's pretty great! Reminds me of something Alexander McQueen would design.

I love this piece. First, the layers of subtle ruffles are perfect for someone like me. Also, I've loving the soft fade from a baby pink, to a white. If I had this in my closet, I would pair it with darkwash skinnies, and a pair of silver flats, matching silver bangles, and a hippie headband around my head. To wrap it all off, a big brown leather bag with tassels, a big trend this season.

I've never paid close attention to T.J. Maxx's selection of finer items. Sure, I've been in there to browse through some china with my mom, but is it possible that they sell some higher-end items? Apparently, yes! From what I here, you can find Juicy Couture, J. Crew, Vera Bradley, and even Coach there for heavily discounted prices..

Aughh! These hot little flip flops are calling my name..

But anyways. Have you guys seen higher end items in stores like these? Comment & tell!

Sorry I haven't blogged in over a week!
Last week was a giant flurry mess of homework, drama, and craziness. Hopefully, things this week will get about a million times better. But with the teachers pestering us and being down our necks for standarized testing prep, hopefully I'll make it through.

& Have you heard? Alexander Wang, along with Vena Cava [check out the second designer in this month's Teen Vogue.] are making clothing lines for GAP. I'm super ecstatic, I mean, come on. The H&M and Target things were getting old. [Although I do have to say, I hope Matthew Williamson for H&M will be good, as I was dissapointed in Alexander McQueen's Target collection. But anyways... here's a picture of a fabulous khaki mortocucle jacket, as a preview. Thank you Teen Vogue!

Yay [: CasuallyCouture has finally reached 50 posts!

Here's something cool I thought up...

How many of you want to act more like your favorite star? Be more like Miley, Leighton, the Olsens, Ash, ecetera.. Here are 10 ways you can.

1. When outside, wear sunglasses as much as possible. Ash Tisdale & the Olsens? Point taken.

2. Have and frequently use a Twitter. The number of celebs getting Twitters nowadays isn't even funny.

3. Have random obsessions you talk about. Demi loves John Mayer, Miley has pilates.

4. Hide from the paps. So maybe you don't have annoying people following you around all day, but get away from busy crowds at school and/or work.

5. When out, dress casual, but still cute. I love seeing pictures of celebs out at Starbucks, dressed casual comfy, but still adorable.

6. Keep your love life private. Zannessa is a fabulous example. They say "our relationship works because we keep it quiet." Awhh!

7. Have a couple of favorite charities. I like Unicef, personally. Bono loves being eco-friendly!

8. Have a signature item. The Jonas Brothers love their skinnies & Wayfarers.

9. Keep in touch with your "fans". In most cases, your friends, family, & anyone else.

10. AlwaysalwaysALWAYS be confident. 99.99% of anyone who's anybody in L.A. & NYC are confident, happy people. That's why they succeed in life.

F.N.O. [what to wear?]

I need your help with something prettttyyyy important.

Well, out school has these Friday Night Out things- they're usually casual dances, but without the pressure of having to slow dance with a certain member of the opposite gender. We've had two so far- they were a hecka lot of fun. The only problem? They got VERY hot. And I mean extremely hot! With everybody dancing in an enclosed space [the cafeteria] I need something fabulous, glamorous, but still comfy and not involving too many layers. [So please do not suggest a sweater, shortsleeve, tank top, sweatpants, uggs, 2 pairs of socks, and leg warmer! [; ]

Any ideas? The theme is "Carnival" but I'm not exactly sure how I could dress like that.

I was considering my destroyed denim shorts. Cause I like them a lot!

New Layout [& NEWS]

New Layout! What do you think of it? - Dear Lizzi, I am terribly sorry that I'm now using the same layout as you. I though it time for a change, & I liked this layout a lot... I changed the color though, so no hard feelings? [:
Anyways, yeap. Here's the new layout [: I am obsessing over super-casual day dresses to wear with cardigans during the spring & summer months... I found some nice ones at Urban Outfitters, one of my new favorite stores!

Silence & Noise Pocket Tee Dress, 38.00. also comes in other colors like purple, grey, & more. I think this would look fabulous with a skinny charcoal or metallic belt, grey suede boots that are scrunched at the top, and a giant bangle. I think the pocket on the side is just too cute, & overall, this would be a nice piece to add to your basics closet.

Silence & Noise Boatneck Tunic, 42.00. This color, & a pretty ivory are my favorite colors this gorgeous dress comes in. [Also- black, & heather grey.] I just absolutely adore this.. you have no idea! The necklace that is shown with is pretty big, which is supposed to be a big trend. I'd wear this with either white short gladiators, or silver flats. Add a sleek clutch, that's jeweled, and you've got yourself a fabulous outfit!

Silence & Noise Coated Tunic, 32.00. Also comes in black, grey, & a very dark navy. I like this baby pink better though. I think my friend Lizzi [check out her blog! joiseygal.blogspot.com] has this in a mint green, but not 100% sure. Although you would have to have a killer tan for this, it's pretty darn cute. I'd wear this with jeans if I didn't feel comfortable having a slightley shorter-than-usual dress on me. And some bright navy flast, a la Lanvin on Net-A-Porter. It's made of stretchy spandex though, so eco-maniacs; beware!

adios to cold weatherr! [ i. wish.]

so spring is officially here,but it doesn't feel like it.. yesterday, when I went outside, I had to wear this hee-uge, big && puffy green winter jacket. blechkk. I'd much rather wear a Burberry trench, thank you very much [; anyways, I'm soo excited for the REAL warm weather to come in because than I can finally wear some nice clothes! I cannot wait to go spring/summer shopping, because every single store is coming out with gorgeous, beautiful, & fabulous clothing. the only problem? money. Especially in our time of the economy, everyone is tight for money. My neighborhood is going to have one big day where everybody has garage sales on their driveways, so that should be a big helper... if I don't make enough money, though, I'll do some babysitting. ebay. odd jobs. whatever I can put my hands on....

Spring Is A Coming In!

The weather was warm today.
The sun was going up.
I, on the other hand, was inside, freakishly running around trying to figure out what to wear. I ended up sporting a navy & white striped Hollister babydoll tank tank top over a plain white ¾ sleeve. Then, I paired it with my favorite dark-wash straight-leg jeans.
At school, there was a hilarious story about shorts going around… too much of a long story to tell you. But I ended up rolling up my jeans to make a nice pair of capris. Nobody could tell (;

The story is; I have to go shopping ay-sapp!
I’m seriously not kidding. Spring is almost here, and I need new clothes.

I went shopping at Filene's today, because the one in my area is closing down, and the "40-80% OFF EVERYTHING AT FILENE'S!" signs were kinda hard to not miss...

I bought 2 items, but guess what? They were very wonderful items. Very, indeed.

But for how much? Go ahead. Guess.....
ten dollars! Very cheap! I was super-de-duper happy<3

Its been a long time since I've worn shorts, felt happy, and was actually... warm. (Gasp!)
I love snow, hot cocoa, sledding, and scarves, but it's been a couple of months already. I'm done with winter, and ready for spring to come along.

This spring/summer, I've been dying for a pair of delicate gladiator sandals to wear.
Something like... this;

These are great, but a little too delicate for me.

I like the style of these a lot, but I wouldn't want a pair with teal design.. Again, I'm looking for something I can wear constantly.

Now we're talking! These are pretty cute, and only twenty dollars, but I would prefer them to be a bit more brown and leathery.

Also... I have to find the perfect pair of sunglasses.
I'm think a cross between glamourous Pradas, with a hint of Wayfarers into them.
Tough, I know, but hopefully I'll be able to get the perfect pair<3

That's right, 70 DOLLARS. && I know there are people with more money to spend in this world, but if you're going to spend a lot of money, please don't waste it on tissue-thin tank tops that are smaller than my bathroom towels. *Note; I like abercrombie a lot, but somethings are just ridiculous. I'd much rather spend 70 dollars on Juicy Couture :0
I just lovelovelove! this perfume. If I could live on only two perfumes for the rest of my life, it would be this, && my new found love, as of this weekend, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. [More on that later!] This perfume is just fabulous. MaDame smells sweet, but with a perfect edge to it as well. This is a great perfume for fabulous darlings who aren't afraid to grab attention (: ilyyy<3 size="1">*If you want to smell it, you can find it in Cosmo Girl, as well as Macy's counters. Probably other department stores too (:
Michelle Obama is just ahmazing. Not is only is she a great mother, & going to be involved in politics alongside with her husband, she has great style! This is fabulous look; the purple is a great color for everyone. The cardigan is just so sophisticated, & I just looove pearls, yes I do. The belt is such a great touch, it adds a "BAMM" to the outfit (: <3

Dedicated for all of the wonderful fashionistas out there
who are more into the "luxe" thing (;

I stumbled upon Ellie Saab and his designs around a year or so...
aand let me tell you; it has been a wonderful thing.

His designs are always different and very clever; but elegant and sophisticated too.
This was his fall collection, I just loove the dresses.

This one screams "me"!! I love the one shoulder top, & the colors is gorgeous.
The detailing at the bottom is to die for, reminds me of Marc Jacobs campaign for his perfume.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

Wowza! How hawt is this dress? Firstly, the model is soooo gorgeous. I have yet to capture her name! Well, again with the one shoulderline thing; it's beautiful. I love the color of this dress, very elegant aaand chic. The fabric and textures are so beautiful, very Paris-Ballroom-Dancing (: Huge, beautiful, and just amazing in general.

So, I'm calling this a one shoulder dress, but looks at those 2 extra straps, what do you think? (:
The colors, a somewhat of a wine color, looks stunning. The soft, flowy fabric placed on top of is is genius, I can definitely imagine it in Vogue. J'adore the straps at the top, how silky and fabulously glam are they? I looove shiny satin stuff like thaat (: This dress is so pretty, probably my dream prom gown in my senior year<3

Dancer Chic?

Why not? And it's not like you have to go all the way..
Cardigans, shrugs, skinny jeans, ballet flats, sweaters, leggings, headbands.. there are tons of possibilities! Can you believe it?

BASiC OUTFiT;; (Choose one from each list)

Tops;
-Cardigan with tank top
-Shrug with tank top
-Minimalist tunic
-Simple long sleeve in great color.

Bottoms;
-Leggings (certain outfits only)
-Skinny jeans
-Denim skirt with leggings

Footwear;
-Flats
-Real ballet flats (The soft kind)
-Converse. It's breaking the rules, but can work if you wear it right.

Hair;
-Buns, messy or neat.
-High ponytails
-Braids, with poof at the top
-Skinny headbands in metallics

Jewlery;
-Lots of beaded bracelets, jewel tons please! You can find them at Forever 21
-Delicate silver necklaces with small charms. Layering them is lovely.

Example- I could wear a brown cardigan with a pink tank top under. Pair that with dark wash skinny jeans, silver flats, a silver skinny headband, and a navy scarf. Here is an example of dancer-chic.

Fabulosity Everywhere!

Here's a project that takes... 15 minutes tops with an amazing outcome. Given!
Here's a little D.I.Y. school supply project that will leave everybody gawking.

Materials;;
-Flat backed gemstones, found at Micheals.
-Something that needs to be given a make over. (Folders are the best, but just about everything relatively flat works, like binders and notebooks.)
-Liquid glue. (Elmer's is fine!)
-Ribbon
-Sequins

1)Take your school supply. In this case, I will be working with a composition notebook. Lay it out on a flat surface, like a desk.
2)Take all of your gems, ribbon, sequins, and lay them out in a cute design. Some ideas;
*Place ribbon all the way from the top to the bottom, and left to right. Have them meet in the bottom or top right-hand corner.
*Place gems in random order
*Put clusters of sequins around.
*Make a "star" by arranging sequins around gems.
3)Once you are happy with your designs, start glueing them onto the thing you are working with. Be careful to not use too much glue, or else you'll end up with slightly sticky fingers!
4)Let fry overnight for best results.

Voila! You have yourself the most adorable little thing ever. =]

One more tip; Micheal's sells ribbon for a dollar a roll, which is pretty long. Stock up on some, you can use them for crafts, as well as hair decorations. Simple polka dots look absolutely fab in long hair, and can really add an extra BAMM to your outfit.

Time to Take Advantage!

If you've walked into a store like abercrombie or hollister, you may have noticed that most of their sale stuff is made of adorablee camis that no one wears anymore....

That's what you think.
I went to hollister and bought lots of them to wear over stuff!
It may look a bit weird, seeing a cute floral babydoll cami over a plain tee, but that's how I'm wearing my summer camis. In fact, lots of girls started doing that at my school.
(What can I say, trendsetting is my passion ;])

At abercrombie and hollister, almost all of their special babydoll camis are around 10 dollars each, which is totally good. Here are some, not from this season exactly, but might be.

But I happen to think it would be much nicer to get compliments on your tanks, while looking stylishly ready for fall.

And I also need to stress this- wear your tanks ONLY with plain basic colored shirts under. That means no cloud, zebra, polka dots, or stripes. No exceptions.

HOW TO WEAR CARDIGANSS

Here is the super cute, super cheap, and super well fitting ffor all body types in teal.
(From dELiAs*, as shown from my last blog.) Sells for 19.99 dollars.

Next, add a tank top under in a color that looks good with the cardigan. I chose a royal blue color, which is in the same green/blue family as the cardigan. Make the tank simple, because the sweater is what we're really focusing on.

Skinny jeans are a must. It totally balances out the flowyness of our cardigan, and looks classic, cute, and trendy.

Hair Tips =]

Haiiiiiirrr. It may seem like a far away thing you'll never master, but it's not like that.
Today I'm talking about hairstyles and tips for people with generally straight hair.

Shampoo and Conditioner-
I've tried a lot, but my all time favorite is Bath and Body Works. They make shampoo and conditioner pairs and amazing scents. There are tons to try, but I like Vanilla ones the best.
My hair routine- get shampoo and conditioner. Pour and put it in my hand, then mix into my hair. I let it stay in for 2 minutes or so, then wash it out really well.

If you do this, your hair should be pretty smooth. For good results, comb it right after.

Hairstyles-
Gawsh. If you're one of those people who look horrible with just their hair down, I fell your pain. I have to have my hair in some kind of style other than just... well down!

1)I love hairbands. If you have hair longer than your shoulders, I totally recommend stocking up and investing in a couple... a basic rule is that the longer your hair, the thicker the headband you can pull off. (But no. That does not mean that you can wear a super chunky one.) Claire's has some good ones for relatively cheap.. but you can definitely find them pretty much anywhere. All you do is make sure your hair is totally sleek and fine, take a hairband and brush your front hair up, and slide the headband on.

2) The poof is one of my favorites! It does take some practice though... all you need is a hair clip. Take a small-medium sized bunch of hair from the front of your hair, where your bangs could be, and pull it back. Twist 1-2 times, and clip in place. Thick haired girls will probably need to use 2 clips. Instead of hair clips, you can also use a hair elastic, or even bobby pins.

3) Braids are one of my favorites. I happen to think that anyone with highlights, whether natural or not, looks great in this style. To take it one more step higher, then I totally think adding a poof before you braid is amazingg. It's an adorablee and relatively easy look! Ashley Tisdale sports this look a lot, and never looks bad in it at all.

4)This is a combo hairstyle that I love to sport around school. Take you hair, and twist it around like a bun. Then, take a hair elastic that matches your hair color, and use it to hol the bun in place. I usually need to twist it around 2 times, but that depends. The hair should now be in a messy bun, with some hair sprouting out. Spray on some hairspray, (eco-friendly puh-leasee) and then slip on a headband if you want. This look is effortlessly easy, and super cute too.

Important hair products-
*Hairspray that DOES NOT AFFECT THE ENVIROMENT. Search online, and save the world.
*Bobby pins, to hold hair up. Very important!
*Hair elastics. Need I say more?
*Hair clips. In plain colors are fine, but why not go for a sparkly blue one? ;]

Gosh, school is sooo crazy. Already, I have lot of homework.

But I swear I'm not dead =]
Quick post, but I would just like to say that since the cold is coming in,
BUY SCARVES.
Right now, I always get cold, and I think scarves are adorablee. My personal favorite way of putting them on is to fold the scarf in half, then loop the side without the loop in the loop.

Hollister and abercrombie are making an adorable line, but so so is Ralph Lauren =]

Trend? NAY or YAY...

So.. recently at my school, there's been a big trend.
You wanna know what it is?
Well... it may shock you. But you better read it.
The new trend is tube tops over tank tops. Like, beach chic. Most of the girls are wearing it with scrunched top tube tops, and a contrasting color underneath. Recently, my fried Lizzi wore a pink abercrombie tank top with a blue tank top under. It looked cute, I guess. But I'm not a huge fan of this "new trend"

If I was forced to wear this trend, I would add some items to change the look.

First, I would start off with a great blazer/jacket, in preferably a neutral shade like brown. Second, I would add dark jeans, preferably skinny styled. Then, I'd finish it off with a pair of suede boots, a chic slightley boho headband, layered necklaces, and some lip gloss.

The end look? Couture bohemian with a hint of abercrombie.

Gossip Girl Outfit

Ohmigod. This Gossip Girl outfit is to die for! This outfit is from the episode "Blair Waldorf Must Pie!" [Hahaa] It's a Marc Jacobs, and it's absolutely adorable. The colors look great, and I love to the neutrals. The only thing I hate is the stockings! I would go with plain charcoal ones instead of those vintage chic ones.
The mini sweater is an adorable touch!

My Favorite Fall Bags

Ohmigosh! Fall is coming up, and that definitely calls for some new bags and totes to use, right? Well, whether you have 20 dollars or 200 dollars, here are some bags that I loved. They all come in a variety of different colors, pattern sizes, prices, and more. I hope you find you will love!

1) The Vera Bradley Tote
Vera Bradley is one of my favorite designers for bags. Their bags are all adorable, and they have things like pencils, make up kits, backpacks, and pencil cases in those adorable patterns x3
This bag is especially one of my favorites because I love the pattern, I adore big bags, and all together, it looks absolutely amazing. This pattern is called Java Blue, but my other favorites are the Peacock, Raspberry Fizz, and Mod Floral Pink. And the best part that it usually retails for around 50.00 dollars, because I think it used to be 70 dollars? I'm not completely sure.

2) The Juicy Daydreamer
Oh.Mi.God. This is one of the most amazing bags I have seen and fallen in love with in my entire
life. The fit, style, colors, and everything just looks supperr good together. It comes with a drawstring like top, and has a lot of charms with it. The one I showed you in the polyvore is my favorite color/style, although they do make other ones. I've even seen a green one! Anyways, I think this purse is really great. It has a TON of room, more than you might think it does. It's also really soft. The only bad part about this wonderful bag is that it is a bit pricey. The website eluxury.com sells it for 225 dollars, but you might be able to find it for a lower price at more stores. This bag is a good investment, because you can use for any season. I love this bag!

3) The Forever 21 Hobo
This one is really cute and perfect for the 3 M's. (The mall, movies, and more.) It is from Forever 21, a really popular store that sells so many things at low prices. The bag itself comes in
maroon and purple color, plus the navy color I showed you in my polyvore set. This bag could easily match with almost anything, anywhere. I'm thinking of going to the mall and buying this bag! The bag is also an amazing one to buy because it is very cheap- at the store,you can buy
it for 14.90 dollars. Add this bag to your fall collection now.

4) The Coach Bag
The moment I saw this bag, I fell in love with it. The colors is gorgeous, in a really eye-catching hot pink that is a new trend for the fall and winter season. The design of it is also amazing- I love how it's a plain bag, but the pockets are also really functional. It has 2 main compartments, so that is also a really huge plus for people who carry around tons of things :)
It's actually name is the "Leather Peyton" and it only comes in a silver color and the beautiful pink color I showed you in the polyvore set above. If I were the Coach designers, I would definitely consider making a new line of bright colors, like red.The gold metal buckles and more are a really great touch. The only thing I hate about this bag is that is is quite expensive. The Coach store sells it at 798 dollars, close to 800 dollars. Buy this bag if you actually have the money, and fell in love with it the moment you saw it.

5) The Wetseal Hobo
Yay, another hobo! This hobo bag is really chic and cute. The colors within the stripes are adorable, and easily matchable with any outfit. It reminds me a lot of India, due to the bright colors and sparkly gold finishes. This bag would also be perfect for the 3 M's, practically anywhere. It is from the popular clothing store WetSeal, that makes tons of funky and fun things like top, sweaters, and shoes. It has a reasonably good amount of space inside. And it is marked a very good price- only 24.50 dollars! I would love to be a proud owner of this cute bag.

6) The Dooney and Bourke Bag
Wow. Right? Just wow. This bag is definitely BAC. (Beautiful, amazing, chic) I would love to buy this, but I would need to save up quite a lot of money to buy this. Dillards sells this bag for around 345 dollars. I love the glossy black finish in the bag. It is mysterious, yet very Parisian chic. Qui? Qui? ;) The design is very elegantly simple, but definitely high fashion. This bag from Dooney also supports the 3 M's. The colors it comes in are a bright red that Dylan from the Clique books would love, a hot pink that is adorable, and the glossy black that I showed you above in my polyvore set. This bag may be pricey, but definitely worth trying to purchase.

Body Splashes

I absolutely LOVE body splashes.

On days when I feel kind of sick and not my best, I ditch my perfume and go for some Bath and Body Works body splashes. They have amazing scents, some are even better than those pricey 100 dollar ones. I always buy the travel size ones, because the normal ones are like HUGE. And old scents are nasttyy :] This blog will be about my absolute favorite scents from Bath and Body Works, from the ones that I've tried. (I haven't smelled them all!!)

This one is probably one of my favorites out of the entire collection so far. It is called "Irresistible Apple" and it smells so good! I honestly can't describe it, but the apple scent smells great. If anyone want to buy a couple of body splashes and start using the, this is a definite must buy.

Wow. I know this one is called Dancing Waters, and that that doesn't sound like a great scent, but it actually is. It's very simple, but definitely there enough to make a statement. It's also a great scent to use if you're looking for a signature scent!

Midnight Pomengrate is just absolutely fabulous. It smells really glamorous and classy. I use this one a lot, and I get compliments from my friends all the time. This scent is also extremely perfect for night time occasions, like parties, restaurants, the movies, and more. And I also ave a story to go with this scent... one I got the hand lotion in this scent, and I put it on at school. Then, this guy who sat next to me smelt it and he got all excited and kept begging me if he could have some... haha I did let him and now he's obsessed with it :)

Oh.My.Gosh. Warm Vanilla Sugar is amazing! I love using this in the daytime. It smells sweet, but not like-over-the-top sweet. It is the perfect scent for a warm and happy person, but for anyone else too. If you smell a lot of it, it smells exactly like some cookies. But it also has a hint (like, a really tiny hint) of some flowers. I love this scent!

Back to Basics

Haha. Back to Basics was Christina's album.

But it's also the idea about what I'm going to write today. Sometimes, a lot us feel like we have absolutely nothing to wear. When you do feel like that, you can just pull together a ton of basic clothes to make a supercute outfit. [Not many people actually realize that though..] So here it goes. After you're done reading, please comment. Thanks!

Outfit 1) Get a your longest (from top to bottom) plain white shirt you can find. Short sleeves are good. Next, grab a pair of plain leggings, in either black, gray, or charcoal. Find a plain belt, and tie it on the top of your hips. Finally, wear your sunglasses it it's in the summer, and slip on a pair of flip flops or flats in white, or a color that matches your leggings. The final look is very downtown simple chic.

Outfit 2)Grab a simple colored tracksuit jacket. Juicy makes great ones, but you can match the designer style with a less expensive version. Wear a basic tank top in a non-showy color under. Add a pair of darkwash jeans. Finally, put on a great pair of flip flops or sandals.You get a very casual look that is still trendy and very comfortable.

Outfit 3) Wear a denim skirt, preferably in a medium-to-light wash. Now, grab a simple basic longsleeve that looks great on you. (I think Hollister has a lot of these) Think of the fit! Pair this with any type of shoes except for boots and heels. Wear this with a matching beaded bracelet. The end look is a simple but trendy feel, with a sprinkle of Parisian style.

Outfit 4) Grab a pair of dark wash jeans. Pair this with a plain white button down. Underneath, wear a very cute cami (you'll find out why) in a color that looks great on you. When you are wearing these tops, don't do any buttons on the shirt, and roll up the sleeves to your elbow. Finally, wear a pair of flats, mini wedges, wedges, or low heels that match your cami. And that's your look! Extra credit if you add a skinny hairband that matches your cami. The final look is girly nerd chic. Haha!
